Citrix Workspace Online



Citrix provides sample scripts that can be downloaded from one of the Workspace app or Receiver download pages (Workspace app version 2103.1 (Current Release), or Workspace app version 1912 CU3 (aka ) (LTSR), Receiver version 4.9.9002 (LTSR) by expanding Downloads for Admins (Deployment Tools). Citrix Workspace app for Windows is an easy-to-install app that provides access to your applications and desktops using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops from a remote client device. Citrix Workspace app provides access from your desktop, Start menu, Citrix Workspace user interface, or web browsers. The Citrix Online Web Plug-in for Windows installation package (CitrixOnlinePluginWeb.exe) is designed for easy deployment using a web page or XenApp Web site; it might be installed with or without administrator privileges on an endpoint device. Download Citrix Workspace App, Citrix ADC and all other Citrix workspace and networking products. Receive version updates, utilities and detailed tech information.

Solution

To prevent the prompt from appearing, disable the following policies via your preferred method of managing policies in the environment:
  • Citrix Studio
  • Active Directory Group Policy

Citrix Workspace OnlineConfigure the following Citrix Policies:
  • Auto Connect Client Drives - Disabled
  • Client USB Plug and Play Device Redirection - Prohibited

Problem Cause

Citrix Workspace Online Plugin

This is by design when Client Drive and/or USB redirection policies are enabled. In the event the end users do not select an option that is remembered they will continue to receive said prompts.
Instruct end users how to proceed, or if it is deemed the subset of users do not need these features they can be disabled via policy.
